KTHE REUNION TEAM IS EXCITED! Due to many requests from the Membership Survey taken at the 2017 KFA Reunion, a Friday (August 10th) afternoon Genealogy Workshop session has been added to this year’s program. Due to the overwhelming recommendations of last year’s attendees, the Reunion Committee has again contracted with the Marriott Courtyard in Nashua, NH for the two day event. This venue was selected as the best venue in the area for meetings, functions, etc. by many organizations, businesses and visitors during the past year. Last year’s Reunion attendees can attest to that claim. It is also very accessible. All the functions for the reunion are conveniently located and the KFA has negotiated reduces room charges. The modern function room is located on the ground level near the main entrance with main desk, restaurant, bar, and courtyard with central fire pit and beautiful gardens.
The Friday (August 10th) format has been changed to accommodate a Genealogy Workshop session lead by KFA Member, Carol Stahl at 2:00PM. The rest of the day and evening will be informal, allowing people to optimize their travel accommodations. The evening will allow KFA Members to conveniently meet and gather socially in the garden area, bar, restaurant, etc. Due to the flexibility in arrivals, the Committee has not scheduled meals (on Friday). Friday’s attendees will have the hotel restaurant available for snacks and meals.
On Saturday morning, the KFA Reunion Function Room will open at 7:30AM for those that ordered the Continental Buffet Breakfast on the Reunion Registration Form. The Function room will also be open at 7:30AM for other Members to socialize, discuss Genealogy, view the silent auction items (and bidding), etc. The Formal KFA Reunion Meeting starts at 9:00AM with KFA Presidents Welcome. The following subjects will also be presented: business meeting, including the election of officers, Secretary and Treasurer’s reports, Genealogy and Scholarship reports, old and new business. Scholarship Awards and Silent Auction winners will be announced. The Reunion Team is presently interviewing guest speakers for the Friday and Saturday programs. A detailed agenda for both days will be emailed to the KFA Membership at a later date.
The Reunion Committee has contracted the Marriott Courtyard’s Restaurant to provide a Continental Breakfast, Buffet Lunch, and Plated Dinner on Saturday (August 11th) to those attendees that order them in advance. A Food Reservation form is available by clicking HERE.
