Announcing KFA 48th Reunion 2017

2017 REUNION: August 11 and 12, 2017

KFA Reunion 2017 will be held at the Marriott Courtyard in Nashua, NH. This beautiful and convenient facility has recently completed $8 million of expansions and upgrades in a beautiful setting. All the functions for the reunion are conveniently located and the KFA has negotiated reduced room charges. The modern function room is located on the ground level near the main entrance with main desk, restaurant, bar, and courtyard with central fire pit and beautiful gardens.

The Reunion meetings will be formatted as in the past with an informal gathering room on Friday evening (August 11th) for arriving participants to socialize. Those arriving at various times will have the hotel restaurant available for snacks and meals. Don’t forget to bring one to three auction items for the Saturday (August 12th) silent auction scholarship fundraiser. There will be no food offered by the Reunion Committee on Friday.The formal KFA Reunion Meeting will be held on Saturday, August 12th. The morning will be dedicated to Genealogy.

After lunch, Robert Drinkwater, Historical Archaeologist and a charter member and a past president of the Association For Gravestone Studies (AGS), will provide an overview of gravestone studies, then talk about some of the currently approved procedures for reading/deciphering, cleaning and conserving historical grave markers and monuments.

The guest speaker will be followed by: the KFA President’s welcome, business meeting including, election of officers, Treasurer and Secretary Reports, Genealogy and Scholarship Reports, old and new business, etc.Following the Business Meeting, the Silent Auction Scholarship Fundraiser winners will be announced. The KFA has contracted The Marriott Courtyard’s restaurant to provide a continental buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and plated dinner.


Guest room reservations must be made by the attendees directly with the Marriot Courtyard at 2200 Southwood Drive, Nashua, NH (603) 880-9100 on or before July 20, 2017 to receive the KFA discount on Friday night (August 11th) and/or Saturday night (August 12th). You must identify yourself as “attending the KFA Reunion” to get the discount guest room rate. There are only a limited number of guest rooms blocked for the KFA Reunion. If you are planning to attend the Reunion, please make your reservations early. The guest room rate for KFA Reunion attendees is $114.45 (including all taxes).

All completed FOOD RESERVATION forms with related deposit sent to Sylvia Stevens and post marked no later than June 1, 2017 will have the name of the submitter entered into a $500 early registration drawing to be held on August 12, 2017 at the reunion.
